UK consultancy firm EC Harris has secured its first major oil and gas contract in Saudi Arabia, potentially worth in excess of $2m, it said on Monday.
It has been appointed by ATCO Group’s engineering and constriction division in the kingdom to deliver project control services over an eight to 12 month contract, EC Harris said in a release.
The contract is being led by 15 members from EC Harris’s oil and gas team from the consultancy’s offices in Dammam.
EC Harris will work with ATCO on the energy and utilities organisation’s major engineering and construction projects in the kingdom including Saudi Aramco’s Khurais, Ras Tanura and the Prince Mohammed University.
“It’s our job to minimise the risk of failure, and maximise the value that projects bring to our clients’ businesses,” said Stuart Arndt, partner of EC Harris.
In addition to Dammam, EC Harris’s oil and gas team has international operations in the downstream oil and gas and petrochemicals sector in the UK, US, UAE and Qatar.
