Red Hat’s Middle East distributor Opennet is bidding to give the channel a helping hand through these tough economic times by offering partners free virtualisation training.

The company claims the training is an ideal opportunity for partners to get up to speed on server and storage Xen Virtualisation, as well as enrich their professional services portfolio as customers look to get more from their existing investments.

Opennet is offering two engineers from each channel partner the chance to attend an intensive two-day RH184 Linux Virtualisation course on 5th and 6th May at its training centre in Dubai.

“This course is ideal for Linux system administrators who understand how to install and configure a Red Hat Enterprise Linux System and who wish to learn to install, configure and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 in a virtualised environment,” stated the company.

Opennet is following up the technical training with a free two-day course for pre-sales engineers the week after. The sessions will focus on the basics of advanced open source virtualisation, Red Hat Network Satellite management and JBoss installations.
