UK consultancy and construction firm Mace Group announced on Thursday it had won a management contract on a project to build the biggest hotel in Syria.
Bena Properties, the largest private real estate company in Syria, appointed Mace as project and cost manager on a five star hotel project in the country’s capital Damascus.
Mace refused to reveal the value of the contract, which will run for 33 months.
Bena Properties is the real estate investment and development arm of Cham Holding.
It follows Mace securing two project management appointments in the Middle East last month.
Mace was appointed project manager of a $220mn office tower in Manama, Bahrain, as well as project manager for the urban regeneration of a large industrial district of Umm Ramool in Dubai.
