The Ministry of Health on Wednesday stressed that the UAE is officially swine flu free.
The comment came as 20 H1N1 swine flu thermal detectors arrived in the country, ready to be installed in airports and points of entry as part of the UAE's preventive measures against the disease.
Swine flu thermal imaging devices are special cameras used for scanning passengers to detect possible alterations in body temperature that may be indicative of the presence of the H1N1 virus.
Director General of the Ministry of Health Dr Ali Ahmed Bin Shoukr, who made the announcement, also said that forms to be filled by inbound passengers were ready.
The forms, he said, will be linked to the Ministry's recently-launched swine flu electronic bulletin.
He added that a training plan for medical staff in the country's hospitals will be carried out, including the Emirates Field Hospital, health centres, airports and ambulance teams.
A laboratory training program will be launched Thursday at al-Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah to educate trainees as per the standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO). The same programme will later be conducted at other hospitals nationwide.

I advise WHO, pharmaceutical companies, Medecins du Monde, Red Cross, Red Crescent and all world bodies dealing with health issues to visit all arab speaking countries to seek the vaccine used there since none has declared any swine flu case.
Thank You
