Budget carrier Jazeera Airways is the latest Middle East airline to cut ticket prices for summer travel following a spate of promotions from the region’s biggest carriers.
The Kuwaiti carrier announced that passengers can expect to save up to 45 percent when booking seats between May 20 and May 23.
It added one way fares, including all taxes and additional fees, will be available from KD5 ($17.2) to several destinations including Sharm El Sheikh, Beirut and Larnaca.
The reduced fares are available to passengers flying from Kuwait between May 23 and July 15.
Jazeera Airways’ chief commercial officer, Steven Greenway said: “The summer temperatures are gradually getting hotter and people are now thinking about booking their summer vacation.
"As part of our ongoing drive to give passengers in the region even more freedom to fly, we decided to launch our hot fares summer offer so passengers can actually enjoy the hotter weather.”
In recent weeks, Etihad Airways and Emirates Airline have announced several promotions to entice more passengers during the summer months.
Some aviation analysts believe such deals are in response to a general downturn in demand for air travel amid the financial crisis.
However, the airlines insist introducing promotions is normal at this time of year.
