British Airways is slashing some of its business class fares from the Middle East by up to 50 percent as demand for premium travel continues to wane.
The UK flagship carrier said on Wednesday that cut price tickets for its Club World services to London and North America will be available between May 21 and May 24.
Return trips to New York, London and Los Angeles are available from AED8,490, AED5,885 and AED10,855 respectively, with all taxes, fees and surcharges included.
“During these tough times, we are actively looking at ways to provide extra value for money for our customers, remain competitive and weather the global economic turbulence,” said Paolo De Renzis, British Airways’ area commercial manager for the Middle East.
“The ongoing global credit crunch continues to dent consumer confidence but these unbelievable fares are sure to attract the UAE’s business and leisure travellers; they represent our cheapest ever trans-Atlantic fares from the Emirates.
“The Middle East as a whole is one of our key performing markets and we are expecting this limited promotional offer to further boost load factors during the two travel periods.”
Passengers buying reduced tickets have to travel from May 21 to June 15 or August 1 to October 31. A timetable of British Airways’ GCC services to London is available at www.ba.com
British Airways operates 28 flights from the Middle East to London. The airline claims its Club World service has fully-flat beds offering more room, privacy and storage than other carriers.
