Etisalat Messenger is similar to other popular chatting applications like Yahoo! Messenger, MSN and Google Talk, allowing subscribers to send messages in both Arabic and English between mobile phones and computers.

“Instant messaging is one of the most popular mediums that connect the youth today and with this value added service, Etisalat aims to target the young generation in the UAE. This service will be available through the mobiles now, making it far easier for our customers to connect with their friends and families," said Essa Al Haddad, Etisalat CMO.

Customers can register to Etisalat messenger services by calling 125 or by sending an SMS "r em chatplus" to 1010 for Chat Plus or "r em chat" to the same number for the Chat package. Subscribers will then receive an acknowledgement SMS containing a URL to download the IM software.

MSN from microsoft on mobile charges you for data or you should be subscribed for data package and both would cost you more than the monthly subscription of Etisalat Messenger (AED 25).
Very good service from from Etisalat

With only AED 25 you can send as many messages as you want and also send images and files at any time through the messenger.
Also it does not charge for Data, downloading the messenger and opening it at anytime is free you just have to pay the subscription fees the AED 25 only
