Construction engineering contractor Drake & Scull International (DSI) announced on Tuesday it had appointed management to oversee the expansion of its business operations into telecommunications.
The addition of telecom infrastructure turnkey services was a natural progression of DSI’s existing infrastructure, water and power operations, it said in a statement.
The diversification also complemented the company’s portfolio of utilities infrastructure and would contribute to the growth of the firm’s baseline revenue, DSI added.
Nick Di-Marcello has been appointed general manager to establish and develop the contractor’s telecom business, which will serve the entire MENA region from DSI’s Dubai head office.
It will initially focus on the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Libya, Sudan and Algeria, offering full turnkey services built around its core strengths in the design, civil, mechanical and electrical fields.
