Cisco has launched new products for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the region that aim to enhance communications, security and productivity.
Among the new solutions announced are additions to the Cisco Small Business Pro series - a range of products and services designed for SMBs to build, install and manage systems that support changing technical needs.
The new Smart Business Communications System (SBCS) Release 1.5 can effectively connect offices, employees and customers anywhere. The release comes with WebEx PhoneConnect, which enables employees to view meetings and join online conferences at the touch of a button, along with Single Number Reach, an application designed to improve customer service and reduce the number of missed calls by routing them to a desk phone or mobile device.
Cisco also introduced the PVC300 IP Camera, which features IP video surveillance that can be viewed via live video online. The device issues alerts when motion is detected and can be integrated with alarms, door sensors and other security systems.
The company also highlighted the support available online through its Small Business Support Community. The community, which can be accessed here, had its total number of users rise by more than five times since January this year.
