When was Daman established?
The National Health Insurance Company - Daman, was established in May 2006 by the Abu Dhabi government as a public shareholding company; providing the compulsory health insurance plans for expatriate employees and their families. With strong government support and international expertise, Daman soon became the first specialised health insurer in the region.

Daman has the biggest network (more than 1,550 providers) across the UAE that includes approximately: 70 hospitals, 400 multi-specialty medical centres, 100 single specialty clinics, 400 dental centres, 35 diagnostic centres and 545 pharmacies, all of which have been chosen and categorised according to Daman's quality standards, aiming for a high level of medical services and patient safety.
