Jacky’s ramps up Emirates expansion

Representatives from electronics retailer Jacky’s and Ajman City Centre Mall cut the tape on the first Jacky’s Express store in Ajman. The retailer claims this store and one other it has opened in Al Ain are the only multi-brand electronics outlets in the respective locales.

Consumer electronics and IT retailer Jacky’s Electronics has opened the doors at its first Jacky’s Express outlets in Ajman and Al Ain.

The retailers says that the two stores, one at the Ajman City Centre and the other at the Bawadi Mall in Al Ain, are the only multi-brand electronics outlets catering to local Ajman and Al Ain residents.

“Ajman City Centre is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Ajman with a good weekday and weekend traffics, and we believe there is a need for a specialty electronic store like Jacky’s in a strong mall such as Ajman City Centre,” said Jimmy Patel, general manager at Jacky’s Electronics.

Patel also says that by opening the Express store in Al Ain, Jacky’s will be able to attract custom from both Al Ain and neighbouring Oman. He also suggests that the move illustrates the confidence that the firm has in the endurance of the UAE economy and its electronics market.

“Customers are now opting to buy products that are of good quality, yet affordable, rather than plush products, such as purchasing new mobile phones and video games for the family instead of jewellery or expensive holiday getaways,” continued Patel.

“And with the start of the summer season, some malls are working closely with electronics retailers like us in carrying out innovative promotions and value offers to generate more footfall and keep revenues stable in their stores. Jacky’s summer promotion kicked off well giving us the added confidence to achieve our sales budget,” he said.
