Apple’s new iPhone 3G S has sold one million units since its launch on Friday.
The handset, that was released in the US and seven other countries, includes a faster processor, longer battery life and video camera.
The sales figures fall short of the performance of the iPhone 3G, which sold one million handsets in its first weekend.
“Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning. With over 50,000 applications available from Apple's revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever,” said, Steve Jobs, Apple CEO in a statement.
