How would it feel to stand on the top of the world’s tallest building? This amateur video doing the rounds on youtube was taken from the top of the spire on the Burj Dubai.
Earlier this month, Arabian Business had reported that construction of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Dubai, will be completed in time for a soft opening in September. “The spire is done, what you can see now is its maximum height, a top official with construction firm Arabtec had said.
Standing at over 800 metres tall, Burj Dubai is at the centre of Downtown Burj Dubai, a 500-acre mega project Emaar is creating in the heart of Dubai.
And here’s a note from the uploader of the video: “If you think it’s [the video] little shaky… you try climbing 3,000ft up a metal pipe in 45 degrees Celcius.”

I have written an article and uploaded it on a website - Burj Dubai: The World Watches As It Rises Into Heaven. Since then, I have been trailing all development about the world’s tallest. To my surprise, the amateur video you featured is a disappointment. The video was captured by an inexperienced videographer who might even be an aero acrophobic. The chance was rare, but the tandem still missed to portray the might and grandeur, despite some unwanted incidents, of the tallest tower from its peak.
