Kuwait has confirmed its tenth case of swine flu after a national was diagnosed with the virus after returning from the United States.
Kuwaiti Health Ministry spokesman Dr Yousef Al-Nisif told the KUNA news agency that the patient was receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Four of the country’s H1N1 cases have been released from hospital after making a full recovery.
Al-Nisif said the public should not be concerned by the release of swine flu patients after stressing that all the necessary steps had been taken to halt the spread of the disease.
The latest World Health Organization (WHO) statistics show that more than 52,000 people have been infected with the swine flu virus in 76 countries. Of the total 230 people have died from the virus.
