Unified threat management vendor Cyberoam says its appliances have become the first solution to attain ICSA certification for firewalls with active-active high availability.

The vendor claims that in achieving the certification its UTM is now the only solution that enables secure, continuous and efficient access to business-critical applications, information, and services to enterprises.

“Security solutions that meet the stringent conditions imposed by ICSA Labs for active-active HA are robust and are geared towards handling the demanding situations they face in enterprise networks,” says Brian Monkman, firewall programme manager, ICSA Labs. “Cyberoam has met ICSA Labs’ demanding criteria in attaining the certification.”

Cyberoam is confident that the ICSA certification will cement its position in the enterprise market and that its key deployments can offer security at the perimeter as well as in the data centre and unprotected areas in large networks.

“Online threats to government and enterprise-level corporations hold serious implications for national and corporate security, since they hold vast amounts of sensitive data. As targets of increasing terrorist and foreign spyware and hacking attacks, these organisations cannot afford to have security downtime,” asserted Abhilash Sonwane, vice president of Cyberoam.

“The ICSA certification is proof of Cyberoam’s strength in meeting the complex and critical requirements of this segment,” he added.
