Metra signs distribution deal with HP

HP has signed Metra Computer as a distributor for its Imaging and Printing Group and its Personal Systems Group for several countries in the Middle East.

Metra will take on the IPG line for UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and the PSG line, which includes notebooks and desktops for UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen and Iraq.

The deal will help to reinforce HP’s presence in key markets, according to KV Narayanan, Distribution Manger, HP Middle East.

“We are glad to announce the appointment of Metra as our new distribution partner of IPG and PSG products in the GCC. Metra has a proven record for having an outstanding retailing and channel capabilities in the Middle East. The new partnership will reinforce HP’s presence in these key markets and will create visibility to our world class variety of products,” he said.

NY Prasad, CEO of Metra commented: “Metra’s major focus is to provide leading vendors and broad category portfolio to our channel partners. The addition of HP’s IPG and PSG products to our portfolio enables us to make a more comprehensive offering to our partners.
