Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai is now a member of one of the world’s most popular social networking site.
Sheikh Mohammed has joined the Facebook website, according to report in The National.
In the past, Sheikh Mohammed has used the internet medium to interact with members of the media and the public.
He had earlier held his first e-session in which the general public – citizens and residents could submit questions for him to answer.
In April, Sheikh Mohammed addressed the questions from the media in an unprecedented internet forum with journalists.
According to The National, Sheikh Mohammed has written on his Facebook page: “One’s experiences and personal history shape who they are. And by sharing the lessons I have learnt during my lifetime I hope I can continue to have a positive effect on others, especially young people.”
A versatile personality, the various sections on Sheikh Mohammed’s page on the social networking site reveals the ruler’s beliefs, interests, photos, respect for other religions and even his reading list, the Abu Dhabi-based daily noted.
