Sheikh Mohammed allocates $1m for best local dramatic works

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered the allocation of $1m for the best local and Arab dramatic works.
The work will be displayed by the screens of the Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) next year in appreciation for local and Arab drama work producers and artists.
Ahmed Abdullah Al Sheikh, press officer of Sheikh Mohammed, said in his inaugural speech in the ceremony held by the DMI yesterday that the DMI will conduct a poll to assess the best dramatic work, which will be watched by Arab viewers during the Holy Month of Ramadan, newswire WAM reported on Friday.
He said the DMI will present huge Ramadan season packages, including local and Arab drama works which will be telecast by the DMI TV channels.
