The boyfriend of a woman who fell to her death while practising ballet on the balcony of a Dubai flat has been charged with having consensual sex with her.
The Egyptian engineer has been referred to the Dubai Misdemeanours Court where he will be prosecuted for having sex with the Eastern European women.
According to a report in Gulf News, the suspect admitted to police during interrogations after her death that he had had sex with the women.
The 28-year-old woman was seen dancing on the balcony of his flat in Discovery Gardens minutes before she fell to her death on June 8.
The man said police questioned him for almost a day about his relationship with her before telling him she had died.
A source told the daily paper the pair had been living together for about a month because the woman could not afford to rent a flat on her own.
The man has pleaded guilty to the charges. No date for the hearing has yet been scheduled.
