Saudi budget air carrier Nasair has added the Egyptian locations of Assuit and Sharm El Sheikh to its network - the new routes starting from Riyadh and Jeddah.

Sulaiman Al Hamdan, CEO of Saudi National Air Services (NAS) said in a statement that Egypt is an attractive destination for Nasair, given the number of Egyptians residing in Saudi. He added that the country is also an ideal destination for the large numbers of Saudi tourists travelling to Egypt throughout the year.

The company said there will be two flights a week to Assiut from Riyadh and three flights a week from Jeddah. In addition, a new seasonal service to Sharm El Sheikh will see three weekly flights from both Riyadh and Jeddah.

Nasair, which first started operations to Alexandria in 2008 from Riyadh and Jeddah, currently flies to 13 domestic destinations and 10 internationally - the latter comprising Alexandria, Assiut, Sharm El Sheikh, Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Latakia, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Kuwait.
