Montblanc eyes further Gulf growth

Luxury goods manufacturer Montblanc has said it is planning further retail expansion after opening a second boutique in Saudi Arabia.
The world famous brand for watches, jewellery, leather goods and writing instruments, announced its plans for expansion as it opened a shop in Red Sea Mall, Jeddah in partnership with luxury retailer Paris Gallery.
“This is our largest boutique in Saudi Arabia with a third outlet planned in the imminent future which is scheduled to open at the Kingdom Mall in Riyadh,” said Joe Nahhas, regional brand director of Montblanc.
Montblanc said it was pursuing new growth opportunities in the Middle East region and was constantly on the lookout for new markets.
Montblanc has recently expanded in the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
Commenting on Montblanc’s strategic partnership with Paris Gallery, Nahhas added: “Our partnership with Paris Gallery has resulted in 10 shop-in-shops across the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and we have plans for several more until 2010.”
