Manchester City and the UAE national team will face each other in a friendly match set for the Zayed Stadium in November.
Garry Cook, CEO Manchester City, and Yousuf Abdullah, general secretary of the UAE FA, agreed the fixture on Thursday, WAM news agency reported.
Emirates Palace, it was also agreed, will become the official training ground for Man City in Abu Dhabi, once the international standard football pitch, currently in development, is complete.
"With a growing and enthusiastic fan base in the UAE, we look forward to a friendly in Abu Dhabi in November," Cook said. "The club feels an obvious kinship with the city, and this game is another way for us to interact with the community at a grassroots level," he added.
The match between the Abu Dhabi-owned Premiership club and the UAE team will take place on November 12.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the national side and one that will provide a high calibre test for our squad," said Rashid Zaabi, chairman of the Marketing, Media and PR Committee of the UAE FA.
Meanwhile, newly-signed City stars Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry and Roque Santa Cruz were in Abu Dhabi on Thursday to deliver the team’s new kit.

So what will happen to Tal Ben Haim, City's Israeli International? Will he be ushered in like that tennis player? Or will there be another international incident? Maybe they'll ask him to fake an injury.

It’s going to be during the international break.
So the likes of Tevez, Robinho, Barry, Given, Santa Cruz, Adebayor, Richards, Bridge, Wright-Philips, Ireland, Kompany, Bellamy, De Jong et all will all be absent.
But hey, we will get to see the likes of Clayton McDonald and Donal McDermott up close.

..perhaps the UAE team might learn to stay off the burgers before a match this time.
