Abu Dhabi-based property developer Aldar Properties said on Monday it has signed contracts with three contractors, focusing on delivering 5,000 villas at Al Falah.
The contractors are: Al Jaber Building LLC Abu Dhabi, El Seif Engineering Contracting and Abu Dhabi-Malaysian firm Pembinaan.
Al Falah is a master planned community for UAE nationals as part of the Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 directive. The development was launched earlier this year at the Cityscape Abu Dhabi exhibition and will provide 5,000 homes for UAE families, as part of the Abu Dhabi Government's housing initiative.
The Al Falah plan comprises five villages, each with its own village centre, schools, and mosques.
Located to the east of Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway, Al Falah has been designed as a practical and sustainable community within a development area of approximately 12 million square metres.
Moving away from the traditional "grid" approach for developments, Al Falah's design encourages community gathering with a number of open parks that connect the residential, commercial and leisure elements.
