Du has launched a new offer to entice new BlackBerry service subscribers. The credit back offer for new or existing customers promises AED 904 ($246) through various credit options.
The offer would appear to be a direct ploy to capitalize on the controversy surrounding rival operator Etisalat’s attempts to install surveillance software on BlackBerry handsets owned by its customers.
With the new offer, customers who buy a BlackBerry smartphone and du’s Elite Plan can either receive six months of unlimited national BlackBerry Internet service, or receive a 50% discount on the unlimited international Internet service, with both options giving savings of AED 780. Customers will also receive free credit of AED 31 for four months, to give a total credit of AED 904.
Existing customers of du’s Pay as you Go or Monthly Plan customers can get the same offer through migrating to the Elite Plan.
Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du commented: “At du, we are always seeking ways to surprise our customers with excellent value, savings and flexibility. This credit back offer is a prime example of du’s efforts to give customers more than they expected. Whether they choose credit back for their national or international BlackBerry Internet service, they’ll get six months of savings to enjoy.”

i know several people who have moved from etisalat due to their botched spyware. if they hadn't been so incompetent, we wouldn't have known! I've got Du and in Dubai/Abu Dhabi its pretty good and I use data a lot!
