Dubai's biggest real estate broker Better Homes is to open an office in Doha, in an effort to beef up its presence across the region, it said on Sunday.
The new office will open in the final quarter of this year and comes as Qatar's residential and commercial property markets are predicted to grow on the back of sustained demand from a high expatriate population.
Its operations in Qatar will initially focus on leasing. Better Homes's portfolio will consist of the management of the Al Azizya complex, a retail mall that includes a 90 villas, 50 apartments and 37 retail shops together with additional projects including the seaside mega-development The Pearl, Lusail, and a range of apartments and offices.
"Qatar is currently one of the fastest growing cities in the world and was selected as the next Better Homes international office opening, part of a series of international roll out plans", said Ryan Mahoney, managing director of Better Homes.
The broker currently operates in seven countries and plans to expand further into Oman and South Africa by the end of 2009.
