Egyptian value added distributor VAS has officially added EMC products to its portfolio after inking a deal to market the vendor’s networked storage and information management software in Egypt and Libya.
VAS intends to target local system integrators keen on offering EMC’s storage equipment to deliver unified storage, back-up and archive solutions and content management software. It will also provide delivery and support services.
VAS has extensive experience of the North African enterprise channel, having built its business around networking, virtualisation and information life cycle management products.
“VAS has been providing technology-driven business solutions to Egypt and Libya for more than 10 years now and in that time has successfully managed EMC related business in Egypt,” explained Khaled Khairallah, general manager at the distributor.
“We will fully utilise our market expertise and regional know-how to develop a strong sales channel and tightly connect our product marketing initiatives to ensure proper channel fulfillment. We are hoping to grow the number of partners in parallel to the market reach of EMC solutions in the fast-growing region,” added Khairallah.
Mohammed Amin, regional manager for EMC Turkey, Middle East and North West Africa, says the partnership will enable the vendor to capitalise on demand for networked storage and information management solutions in Egypt and Libya.
“VAS’ local experience and familiarity with the customer requirements will enable them to meet the expectations of quality and timely service,” stated Amin.
