TALL TOWER: Sama Beirut will be the city's tallest skyscraper once completed in 2014.

Lebanon’s Antonios Projects launched a new 200 metre skyscraper on Thursday, which is set to be Beirut’s tallest building when completed in 2014.

The 50-storey mixed use project called Sama Beirut will consist of residential, commercial and retail space, a statement said on Thursday, without giving details of the value of the development.

It will be located near downtown Beirut, in Ashrafieh.
Antonios Projects is owned by the Lebanese developer Fadi Antonios.

Real estate consultancy Prime Consult advised on the purchase of the land for the project.
