Kuwait's Wataniya posts 139% Q2 profit rise

Kuwait's National Mobile Telecommunications (Wataniya) posted a second-quarter net profit rise of 139.6 percent to KD63.5m ($221.2m).
Earnings per share rose to 126.74 fils compared to 52.97 fils in the second quarter of 2008, the Kuwait bourse website said on Thursday. There are 1,000 fils to the dinar.
First half profit rose to 78.8 million dinars from 42.58 million dinars in the corresponding period of 2008, it said
