Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, an importer of BMW cars in the Saudi Arabia, has secured a deal to supply 132 BMW 7 Series vehicles to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry has selected a combination of BMW 740Li models, the long wheelbase variant, and BMW 740i models, the short wheelbase variant, to be used by the kingdom's embassies around the world.
Commenting on the agreement, Sheikh Mohamed Yousuf Naghi said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs represents the Government through Saudi Arabia Embassies around the world, and we are proud that it has selected the BMW 7 Series as their official mode of transportation.”
As the largest importer of BMW 7 Series in the Middle East region, Saudi Arabia continues to grow in importance as a market for the flagship model.
More than 600 units were sold in the country between January and June 2009, an increase of 124 percent over the same period in 2008.
The agreement with the Government is the largest of its kind for BMW in Saudi Arabia.
“No matter where in the world the Ministry of Foreign Affairs diplomatic mission is required, the BMW 7 Series will deliver them in safety, style and comfort,” added Sheikh Naghi.
