SAP in online tie-up to help partners find new staff

Pat Hume says the tie-up with LinkedIn will provide SAP partners with an alternative to traditional recruiting methods.

Enterprise software vendor SAP has struck a marketing agreement with professional online network LinkedIn that it claims will make it easier for midmarket partners to recruit new staff.

The collaboration will provide SAP partners in the SME market with advanced recruiting methods to find the best talent and tap into the resource base of more than 140,000 SAP consultants that already use LinkedIn.

Channel partners are being offered a special starter package that is designed specifically for the recruiting needs of resellers with up to 1,000 employees.

The package includes an online recruiting solution that searches the LinkedIn network for the best candidates based on individually definable criteria, allowing partners to contact and track those candidates.

Additionally, the package includes an online job posting service for partners to promote job openings to the LinkedIn community. The offering is immediately available to all SAP channel partners worldwide.

According to SAP, partners that choose to utilise the starter package will gain access to hard-to-find professionals and reduce third party costs and time to hire. The offering also provides partners with the opportunity to access more candidates than only active job seekers and gain highly specific customisable search results when looking for qualified SAP talent.

Through the partnership with LinkedIn, SAP is offering the discounted LinkedIn Recruiter package to channel partners. The agreement with LinkedIn is part of our ongoing initiative to help provide partners with tools and resources to boost their recruiting efforts.”

The partnership is the first collaboration between the pair following the broader strategic relationship announced at the end of last year when SAP Ventures invested in LinkedIn Corporation.
