Qtel has confirmed that Hala pay-as-you-go customers will be able to call friends and family overseas for free this Ramadan - the telco providing bonus international call minutes and bonus SMS with every Hala top-up worth QR30 or more.
Customers topping up their accounts will not only get the standard credit bonus that comes with Hala top-ups, but also bonus international SMS and minutes to use to call their loved ones and share Ramadan greetings.
The number of bonus international minutes provided will rise, the higher the value of top-ups, so that customers could qualify for as many as 61 international call minutes.
Under the offer, a customer buying a QR30 top-up will be eligible for five free international SMS, while customers buying QR50 worth of Hala top-ups get five bonus international minutes, as well as the standard 6 percent credit bonus.
QR100 and QR200 top-up cards will offer 11 and 25 bonus international minutes talk time respectively. Top-ups of QR500 will earn 61 minutes of international talk-time.
The promotion is available whichever method you use to top-up, including scratch cards, e-vouchers and self service machines, as well as Shahry to Hala credit transfer.
Dr. Nasser Marafih, CEO, Qtel, said: "We're very pleased to provide our Hala customers with a Ramadan offer that will help keep them in touch with their families and friends throughout the Holy Month. All of our customers can now enjoy free overseas calls and SMS.
''This offer has been deliberately designed to reach out to every Hala customer, so that customers on the lowest incomes and those who want to speak for long periods feel equally confident that they can reach out to their loved ones around the world."
The offer starts on August 21 and will continue until the end of October.
