Germany-based Hochtief AG is the main contractor for the overall project while Cansult Maunsell is the consultant and Projacs the project manager.

Located in the southern outskirts of Doha, the Barwa Commercial Avenue comprises 600 high-end retail units and showrooms, 800 one, two and three bedroom luxury homes, state-of-the-art office spaces spread over 150,000 sq m, as well as various service centres and amenities.

Barwa Commercial Avenue Building Type 5 is the first part of an 8.6-kilometer-long façade, representing a 2.2 km segment of this property and 38% of the total project.

Work on the site is due to start in April 2010, with completion due by mid 2011

Up to 250 people are expected to be employed to service the contract.
