Ten new swine flu cases were confirmed by the Egyptian health authorities on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases so far to 600.
Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdulrahman Shaheen said all cases were Egyptians, including two recent arrivals from Qatar and Lebanon.
Shaheen added that 460 cases have now fully recovered from the disease, while there has been one reported fatality to date.
Swine flu was first confirmed by the Egyptian authorities back in June, when measures to tighten up monitoring at the nation’s ports and airports were soon introduced.
