Saudi Arabia needs 3,000 Indonesian skilled workers to fill vacancies in the health and construction sectors, an employment official has said.
Tumbur Gultom, head of the National Agency of Placement and Protection of Indonesian workers of East Nusa Tenggara, said the kingdom was particularly in need of nurses.
"Saudi Arabia also needed a large number of workers in the construction sector," Gultom said when he revealed the results of a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdurrahman Mohamed Amen Al Khayyal in Jakarta.
Gultom said that following the talks, a plan had been agreed to send Indonesian nurses and construction workers to Saudi Arabia with further talks planned after Ramadan, Qatar News Agency reported.
