Design software vendor Autodesk has expanded its partnership with distributor Omnix to include the entire Saudi market as it looks to increase its presence in the Kingdom.
Omnix, which has already been working with Autodesk in the eastern part of the country, will focus on distributing, implementing and promoting design solutions, such as its popular AutoCAD range, as well as manufacturing applications.
The vendor says it is keen to exploit a Saudi construction market that is tipped to see contract volumes rise 15% to more than US$60 billion next year.
“We have high expectations that our expanded partnership as value-added distributor for the Saudi Arabian market will gain further reach for Autodesk products, especially with the expected growth of the construction market within the Kingdom in the coming years,” declared Dr. Jayant Deshpande, director of the CAD division at Omnix.
Autodesk’s AutoCAD 2010 is a portfolio of industry-specific solutions for conceptual design, drafting and detailing. It is designed to improve the output of veteran users while allowing new users to become productive more quickly.
“After seeing their capacity to drive our presence in the eastern part of the Kingdom, we have identified the benefits of partnering with Omnix to spill over the results they have gained to the rest of the KSA market,” said Fares Abdulaziz Al Fares, channel manager for Saudi Arabia at Autodesk Middle East. “We are optimistic that this step will benefit many users from across the Kingdom who are in need of efficient tools to maximise their resources.”
