Low-cost air carrier Jazeera Airways said on Wednesday it was launching a new business class fare on all of its fleet.
Jazeera CEO Stefan Pichler said ticket prices for business travelers would be at least 35 percent lower, ''compared with other airlines'' KUNA reported.
All of the firm's A320 planes have the first 3 rows dedicated to Business Class - each middle seat having been converted into extra work space and offering additional privacy.
In August the company reported a $4.4 million loss in Q2, having taken a restructuring charge after moving all of its operations to a single hub.
It made a net loss of KD1.26 million in the quarter, compared with a loss of KD897,895 in the corresponding period last year, according to data from Reuters.
In a statement at the time Pichler said: "The restructuring of the network from a dual hub to a single hub operation has briefly impacted revenues in Q2 2009, but it will ensure that will progress towards having the lowest CASK (Cost of Available Seat-Kilometer) in the region.
"We continue to see strong passenger growth on all our services and we remain confident that 2009 will be another profitable year for the airline.''
