The card, manufactured from bio-degradable material, ensures 1 percent of all customer spend will be converted into Green points and donated to an approved Green cause that supports environmental initiatives such as tree planting in Qatar.

Abdullah M. Al Kuwari, Centre Director and Chairman of the Organizing Committee - Green Qatar Centre said, "Doha Bank and the Green Qatar Centre will together promote the green concept at homes, schools and offices ... teaching the children to become environmental advocates at an early age.''

Credit cards

Launching of this new eco-friendly credit cards will lessen different dissatisfactions with regards to credit cards. Higher fees and rate increases had been one of the reasons of these disappointments but despite of these many people can help it but to pay and chooses to retain their credit cards. It is just a proof that every now and again, we all need a little help with personal finances, and just don't have the time to get to the bank and have nary the inclination to use credit cards, and that's where payday loans come in. Payday loans get constantly pilloried, which is at best hypocritical when you consider the amount of damage done by the average credit card company. Credit cards are implicated in a lot of bankruptcies, whereas payday loans usually aren't – and yet which one is viewed as evil? If the average card holder were to consider the relative availability of payday loans versus tightening amounts of capital in today's economy, they would probably find that if used responsibly, payday loans are a perfectly acceptable form of consumer credit, but it's just one that you have to use very sparingly and responsibly. Besides, it isn't as if payday loans lenders went to DC for a bailout – but credit card companies did.
