Saudi Arabia’s National Commercial Bank has launched its online banking system for customers, it has been reported.
The new Al-Ahli Online service allows customers to carry out bank transactions and pay bills from a computer without the need of going into a branch, according to a report in the Saudi Gazette.
Omar Hashim, head of the department of electronic banking, told the paper the service would also allow non-customers of the bank to open current accounts online.
“They can also use their credit cards in making these payments,” he told the paper, adding: “The new service is subject to the highest levels of security.”
