Health chiefs in Oman were due to start a H1N1 vaccination campaign on Sunday, initially targeting at risk categories.
More than 2,400 confirmed cases of swine flu have been recorded in Oman since its outbreak in the country at the end of July. More than 20 people have died in the Sultanate from swine flu related illnesses.
In a statement, the Health Ministry said it would start the vaccination campaign by giving vaccines to targeted categories including pilgrims, those who work in healthcare, pregnant women and children aged between 2-5 years.
"Vaccination date for each category will be duly announced. The vaccine will be made available to all citizens and residents as per arrival of the vaccine's shipments," the statement said.
