Oman's Bank Dhofar posts 2.2% drop in Q3 profits

Oman's Bank Dhofar, which reported nine-month profits on Tuesday, saw third-quarter profits decline 2.2 percent to 7.29 million rials ($19m).
The bank said it made net profit of 21.5 million rials in the first nine months of the year, without offering a breakdown of quarterly data, compared to 22.2 million rials in the same period in 2008.
The third quarter figure is based on Reuters calculations. The bank made a net profit of 7.45 million rials in the third quarter of 2008. (Reuters)
