The board of Kuwait's Zain has accepted Saad Al Barrak's resignation from his post as chief executive, a company official said.
"The resignation has been accepted," a company official told Reuters on Thursday.
Kuwait's Zain has chosen a former minister of communication to replace Saad Al Barrak, who has submitted his resignation, a newspaper said earlier on Thursday.
"Former minister of communication Nabil bin Salama has been chosen as the chief executive," Kuwaiti daily Al Qabas said in an unsourced report. On Wednesday, Zain said in a statement that Barrak has resigned and the firm's board has yet to decide on his resignation. (Reuters)
