Fast Express has announced a significant expansion in Abu Dhabi following a cumulative growth of 25% in shipments from the UAE capital over the last six months.
The courier and logistics company of the Emirates National Group (ENG) recently opened two offi ces in downtown Abu Dhabi and Musaffah, the industrial hub near the capital city.
“We have had a successful year since our launch in 2005. The inroads we have made into industries such as publishing, finance and banking, and the government sector have been particularly encouraging. The expansion of our branch network is in line with our decision to prepare ourselves for the next phase of growth,” said Ahmed Abood Al Boasy, group general manager, ENG.
Located on Airport Road, the new office in Abu Dhabi was opened last month and is now in full operation.
“The opening of this office accords Fast Express good visibility in the prime commercial area of the UAE capital and allows us to effectively tap into the expanding potential of Abu Dhabi. The strategic location allows us to better serve existing clients as well as potential customers, including walk-ins,” said Richard D’Souza, branch manager of Fast Express in Abu Dhabi.
The Fast Express Mussafah branch targets commercial establishments based in the industrial centre. “Mussafah has proved to be a popular choice for the industrial sector.
We have found significant growth in volumes in non-document shipments from Mussafah. The growth of bulk shipments was a key reason for us to establish a full scale presence here,” added D’Souza.
Fast Express offers domestic shipping services to all emirates, as well as international services to a wide variety of locations worldwide. A ‘bullet service’ guarantees delivery of shipments within two hours in Dubai or between Dubai and Sharjah, and three hours between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
