OK Tours joins forces with Czech Airlines to develop ski packages

Leading Czech inbound agency, OK Tours, is set to promote ski packages in the Czech Republic to the Middle East market in association with national carrier, Czech Airlines.

Several pages of the agency’s recently released brochure will be dedicated to ski packages in popular skiing destinations throughout the Czech Republic.

“The UAE is not the nest of the world’s biggest skiers, however I do feel some potential here, thanks to Ski Dubai at Mall of the Emirates, which has drawn attention to the snow, as well as opening up locals to the idea of skiing and snowboarding,” said Marek Plasil, regional director, Czech Airlines.

Although the Czech Republic is not the first choice for the Middle East’s outbound ski market, it is a viable value-for-money alternative to the more traditional and more expensive ski destinations such as Switzerland and Austria, he added.

The new brochure, which will be distributed to leading travel agencies across the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain, will primarily target Western ex-patriates who are experienced skiers.

Package options will vary from basic one-week ski trips, to longer twin-stay itineraries, which also take in Prague or one of the region’s famous medical spa resorts.

Top-end options will include packages to Spindleruv Mlyn, which is situated 160kms North of Prague in the Bohemia region.

Package prices are yet to be released.
