Margin on memory

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Monday, 01 January 2007

Panasonic is hoping to woo storage-conscious users in the Middle East with the availability of its new 4-GB SD High-Capacity (SDHC) memory card. The product, which comes with high data storage capacity, fast data transfer speed and advanced copyright protection features has been designed based on new specifications released by the SD Card Association for storage devices with a capacity beyond 2 GB. The demand for higher-capacity SD Memory Cards continues to soar on the back of widespread use of high-resolution digital cameras and semiconductor audio and video players. Panasonic - a brand name of Japanese electronics firm Matsushita - claims it will follow up the launch of the 4-GB card with additional models that contain even more capacity to account for the growing storage needs of the market.
