Close control from Clipsal

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Thursday, 01 February 2007

Clipsal Middle East has introduced the Merten brand of control systems to the Middle East market.

The German-designed products operate under the European Installation Bus (EIB) protocol and offer energy management of lighting, home automation and hotel room automation. The products have been used throughout Europe and include design-orientated switch ranges, Instabus EIB, radio frequency system, Argus presence detectors, a movement detector system and a smoke detector system. The solutions are available in wired and wireless system architectures.

The System M switches are offered in three different surfaces: high-gloss and matt shatter-proof thermoplastics, plus a glossy surface produced from scratch-resistant duroplastics. The M-Smart Active White offers long-term protection from germs and bacteria so is suited to applications such as hospitals and health centers.

By using a flush-mounting adaptor up to 210 System M functions can be installed in a system. One to three-gang frames are available.

The Plantec unit uses Instabus EIB intelligent building technology to perform timed control of room temperatures in addition to lighting control and functions such as opening of blinds.
