Flash storage vendor SanDisk has strengthened its presence in the Middle East by setting up regional headquarters in Dubai. The office will be used to serve the GCC and Levant countries as well as Greece, Turkey and Africa.

Edward Moro, VP and managing director EMEA at SanDisk, said the move follows "significant growth" of its products in the Middle East during the past few years. "Together with the distributors in the region, we are now in a situation where we have tripled our store fronts in the Middle East and we are pleased to step up and open our regional headquarters in Dubai," he said.

SanDisk's products are now available in 6,700 outlets across the region and the company is in the final stages of plans to provide Arabic language support for its flagship MP3 players.
