Islamic Finance MBA
by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Sunday, 25 February 2007
The world’s first Master of Business Administration (MBA) course with an Islamic Finance element is to be launched this year in London in association with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Cass Business School, part of London’s City University, will receive the first intake of students on the new MBA course in September 2007.
The Islamic finance element will be one of three alternative specialisations, which also include energy and general management and finance.
The new programme will be taught over 24 months and will involve the same content as Cass’s London-based Executive MBA, one of the highest ranked EMBAs in the world. Cass academics will visit Dubai once a month to deliver classes at weekends. The Cass website quotes US$46,850 for one year’s tuition, although the DIFC offers limited scholarship grants.
