Bahrain contract for Sumitomo

Japanese firm Sumitomo Corporation has won a contract to provide a 66kV electrical substation to Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW).

The contract includes the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the substation for the Tameer development.

The US $1.3 billion (AED billion) BIW will house an industrial park, residential and business communities. Hyder Consulting Middle East is the MEP consultant for the infrastructure works.
