La Hoya Bay Business Village in the freehold of Ras Al Khaimah was launched this week. The Mediterranean style 500,000 square foot village on Marjan Island, due to be completed in August 2008, will include a sub-divided 7 storey business centre. The offices will available for renting or purchasing from 40-10,000 square foot and will be presented as fully furnished spaces.

Frank Khoie, Chairman and COE of Khoie Properties said: "Ras Al Khaimah is an up and coming emirate with a very forward thinking government. The master plan included a commercial space but we created a business centre in response to the demand from residents. With free zone status, we are expecting it to be similar to Media and Internet Cities and attract a number of companies." On the interiors Khoie said: "The architects usually recommend interior design companies to remain in-keeping with their design, so we will be looking at possibly three bids in the next two to three months.

"Kohie has a factory in Germany that will be providing all of the white goods and kitchens; however everything else right through to the fixtures and fittings the interior designer will specify based on a brief we give them. The offices will be water facing complete with a balcony for cigar smokers. They will have parquet flooring and a state of the art intelligent system including access control, and security.
