Avireal AG, the Zurich-based facilities management company and its local business partner, Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group, have expanded their business into the Middle East.
The two companies have acquired 49% of local facilities management service provider Farnek and will offer total facilities management.
Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda, chairman of the Al Nabooda Group, said: “We have formed one of the most comprehensive facilities management companies in the Middle East, with over 1,000 employees. Avireal brings experience of working with IT systems which presents us with an additional skill-set and is a perfect fit for Farnek.”
The Swiss company will provide energy and environmental audits as well as benchmarking and consulting services.
One of the technical features introduced by the new company will be an energy saving module for all types of air conditioning and refrigeration chillers, which will result in energy savings of between 10 to 25%.
David Graham, general manager of Farnek services said: “We now maintain over 500 buildings and clean more than 500,000 square metres of commercial and residential space. Our security guards protect over 100 properties in Dubai and keep 100 installations fully operational.”
